TOWN ENGINEER/FACILITIES COORDINATOR
The Town of Hopkinton, Human
Resources Office, is seeking applicants for a full-time
Town Engineer/Facilities Coordinator. This exciting new
position offers the candidate a chance to have an active
role in the Town’s asset management program as well as a
unique opportunity to work on the building of the Town’s
multi-million Waste Water Treatment Facility with
multi-community connections and directs the Stormwater
management program. Working
independently and under the general administrative
direction of the Town Manager and in close coordination
with all Town departments, this position is responsible
for professional, managerial, technical and administrative
work in directing engineering and facility services for
the Town of Hopkinton. Duties include reviewing new
development proposals for conformance with master plans
for drainage, transportation and sewer; supervising staff
in the review of construction drawings, final plans,
manages rapid development, asset management, and facility
related issues for Town buildings and grounds. Desired
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering; Professional
registration as a Civil Engineer or ability to obtain
within 1 year; five (5) years municipal experience
preferred, or an equivalent combination of other
engineering experience. GIS, GPS and traffic engineer
experience a plus. LEED certification, construction
supervisor license is also desirable. Candidate must
have a valid MA driver’s license. Salary range is $84,431
to $100,846 with a full benefits package.
